Your suspension works hard every ride. Dust, heat, mud, and miles of abuse gradually wear seals, contaminate oil, and reduce performance. Regular maintenance keeps your fork and shock operating smoothly, extends component life, and helps you get the most out of your bike.

At The Shad Co, we provide professional mail-in suspension service for riders across the country. Simply ship your suspension components to us, and we'll handle the rest. Our goal is to provide fast turnaround times, clear communication, and high-quality service so you can spend less time waiting and more time riding.

Services Available

We service a wide range of mountain bike suspension components, including:

  • Fork lower-leg services

  • Rear shock air-can services

  • Complete fork overhauls

  • Complete rear shock overhauls

  • Damper services

  • Coil shock services

  • Suspension inspections and diagnostics

  • Performance evaluations and setup recommendations

We work with many of the industry's most popular suspension brands, including FOX, RockShox, Cane Creek, DVO, Öhlins, Manitou, and more.

Why Service Your Suspension?

Suspension oil breaks down over time and seals naturally wear with use. Routine maintenance helps:

  • Restore small-bump sensitivity

  • Improve traction and control

  • Reduce friction and stiction

  • Prevent premature wear of internal components

  • Maintain manufacturer-recommended performance

  • Avoid costly repairs caused by neglected maintenance

Just like changing the oil in your vehicle, routine suspension service protects your investment and keeps your bike performing as intended.

How the Mail-In Process Works

Step 1: Submit the Service Request Form

Complete our online service request form and tell us about your suspension, the service you're requesting, and any issues you've noticed.

Step 2: Ship Your Components

Carefully package your fork, shock, or dropper post and ship it to our shop. We recommend protecting stanchions and shafts with cardboard or foam and using adequate padding inside the box.

Step 3: Inspection & Service

Once your components arrive, our technicians inspect them and perform the requested service. If we discover worn or damaged parts that require replacement, we'll contact you before proceeding.

Step 4: Quality Check

After service is completed, we verify proper operation and inspect the component to ensure it is functioning correctly before it leaves our shop.

Step 5: Free Return Shipping

When the service is complete, we'll ship your suspension back to you at no additional cost.

What to Expect

  • Fast turnaround times

  • Direct communication throughout the process

  • Professional service performed to manufacturer specifications

  • Thorough inspection of your suspension components

  • Free return shipping on completed services
